The Alcohol Support Service provides specialist alcohol counselling and psychotherapy for people in Fife, aged 16 and over, who find themselves in difficulty because of alcohol-related problems.

The service supports recovery from excessive regular drinking, dependency or binge drinking and their underlying causes and consequences. These may include personal health & well-being, relationship, employment and lifestyle issues. We also provide support for members of the family and for friends who are trying to cope. A small EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing psychotherapy service caters for people suffering psychological, emotional and physical difficulties caused by traumatic experience.

FASS also provides alcohol counselling programmes and reporting for employees referred under the terms of a Workplace Alcohol Policy.Alcohol counselling and education is also available for people referred by Criminal Justice Services following conviction for an alcohol-related offence.

Our web services provide a range of Self Help materials for people concerned that they may be drinking more than is safe and sensible. It’s for people who want to be in control of their drinking, to reduce how much they drink, or to stop. Much of this material is also available in Polish, Russian and Mandarin Chinese languages.
